Valique (pronounced V al-I.Q.) is the residential appraisal report-building platform we built for appraisers. This post is about how it gets built.
Appraisers have usually been told about technology rather than asked about it. Decisions get made elsewhere, the tool arrives finished, and the training session is presented as consultation. We are running Valique the other way around, and we want to be held to that in public.
Beta feedback shapes releases. Appraisers across Canada are using Valique now, and their feedback has been blunt. Good. Every release note states the problem being solved and how we solved it, not just what changed, and where an appraiser has agreed to it, we credit them by name.
The roadmap is based on feedback. Including the parts that are not good news: bug fixes when found. Feature requests are validated with a group of appraisers and prioritized based on the fastest improvements possible that make the biggest impacts.
"Not yet" is an answer we give. With the reason attached. It respects the person asking far more than a vague "it's on the roadmap" ever could, and it ensures we continue to meet association guidelines and form requirements.
Honest, supportive, and collaborative is one of Value Connect's published values, and this is what it looks like applied to how a product gets made. A platform for appraisers only earns trust one way: by behaving the same in public as it does in private, release after release. Our Google reviews suggest we already work this way with our clients (appraisers, lenders, mortgage sales pros, lawyers, homeowners), and appraisers are welcome to check.
If you are an appraiser and you want to see Valique, question it, or shape it, visit the Valique page and request early access. Bring the hard questions.
They make the product better.
