Multiple provincial & state governments announced the required closure of certain types of organizations today. The closures include:

• Day care centres
• Bars & Restaurants, and
• Churches

Some appraisers not taking new business

A few appraisal firms notified us that some of their appraisers will stop accepting assignments today, possibly having an impact on turn-around times in the future.

Appraisal industry demographics include a large group of appraisers over 60 who are taking understandable precautions.

We ask all our customers and suppliers to take the pro-active step of asking home owners / listing agents if they are self-isolating, traveled out of the country in the past 2 weeks, or if they have flu-like symptoms. Answers may result in delays but will help ensure the well-being of all stakeholders.
